Bob's claims of 'poor Irish' background ring hollow

Last week, Bob Geldof rightly invited ridicule for telling a London court that he came "from a poor Irish, not particularly well-educated background!"

He provided a written statement to the Plebgate trial where he compared himself to Andrew Mitchell, the posh former minister.

Geldof grew up in Dun Laoghaire, in leafy Crosthwaite Park, where big Victorian houses are now on sale for over a million. Locals well remember young Bob hanging out in Murray's hip record shop on George's Street, already planning world domination. Bob also went to the middle-class private school, Blackrock College, and never stopped saying bad things about it afterwards.

How do people who are genuinely poor and under-educated feel, listening to the millionaire Bob, trying to climb into their world? In fairness, Geldof is a man who has walked among the poorest of the poor, so you'd think he would show a bit more sensitivity.

U.S. govt. to black out all news sites on the web - trial run tested in California - huge upcoming event?

(NaturalNews) Mistrust of government is high these days, so anytime there is an event of unusual circumstance, millions of us immediately think that there must be ulterior motives.

Such is the case with actions taken by certain Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on Wednesday, when a number of online news sites were blocked as the ISPs "tested" advanced technology that is capable of blocking access to the Internet. As reported by Before It's News, which cited reporting from regular news sources:

The blocking included popular sites like Before It's News, Drudge Report, CNN, MSNBC, Natural News, The Epoch Times, Instapundit and others. The Chinese version of Epoch Times was unaffected, indicating it was targeted to English language news web sites. A blank white screen and "couldn't connect" message were the result after the request timed out.

The Before It's News site and others noted that the outages lasted for several hours and ended around 10 am Pacific Time Wednesday. And only news sites -- certain news sites -- were blocked.

Independent news site WorldNetDaily was also blocked for a time, according to published reports.

Smokers and the obese in Devon will be barred from operations as part of NHS cost cutting

The plans were revealed by the Clinical Commissioning Group that organises most of the health treatment in Devon. On the same day, the Government unveiled an extra £2bn of NHS funding nationally, but trusts in Devon face a £14.5m deficit and say they need to make the cuts to help meet waiting-list targets.

Before obese patients are eligible for surgery, they will need to lose 5 per cent of their body weight and smokers will need to have quit for a minimum of eight weeks.

The Ebola outbreak: U.S. sponsored bioterror gone awry?

(Prof Jason Kissner, Global Research): We can now be extraordinarily confident that the U.S. government is lying, in key material respects, about the latest Ebola outbreak--and not just because it lies about nearly everything of political consequence. This article shows that there are compelling reasons to believe we are being told three big lies about Ebola. It also offers a simple, rational, yet disturbing, explanation that very tidily accounts for all three lies. The explanation supposes that the current Ebola outbreak consists in an act of U.S.-linked bio-terror.

One key U.S. driven lie has to do with the Western MSM's insistence that nobody of any repute believes that Ebola might be airborne. On this issue, the Public Health Agency of Canada remarks: “ In the laboratory, infection through small-particle aerosols has been demonstrated in primates, and airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected, although it has not yet been conclusively demonstrated (1, 6, 13). The importance of this route of transmission is not clear. Poor hygienic conditions can aid the spread of the virus.”

A few scientific studies expressing concern about the airborne possibility are cited in this article, and other such studies are not hard to find.

So there are people with authority to speak to the issue who believe that there is some cause for concern regarding the airborne Ebola prospect, but the U.S. government/MSM complex instead lies and acts like this isn't the case.

Before getting to the second U.S. lie, it is important to mention three facts that have not received enough discussion. First--and this may be of pivotal significance--we still have no idea how Ebola got to West Africa. See for yourself; there's never been an Ebola outbreak in West Africa before.

Perhaps the racist U.S./MSM view is that all African countries are the same, so who cares?

Second, the current outbreak, in terms of the number and international breadth of infections, does seem to be far more contagious than any previous outbreak; as the previous link shows, we now have at least 1,975 cases.

Now pause for a moment and take this fully on board: the 1,975 cases exceed the total number of Ebola cases from 1977 to 2014's outbreak. So it's no surprise that we have, for example, signs of infected individuals in Albania.

The second lie really is a lie of nondisclosure, and concerns the reality that the MSM has not told us that we are dealing with a biologically distinct form of Ebola that has never been seen before.

2014 will be the hottest year on record! Except for the details, which ruin that narrative

How warm was the world in November? How fast is it warming? See the numbers. They might surprise you.

The world has been warming for two centuries. Seldom mentioned is how much it has warmed, which allows alarmists to more easily arouse fear. For the answer we turn to the NASA-funded global temperature data from satellites.  This post shows the numbers: the warming since 1979 is small (so far; the future might be quite different). The truth is out there for people willing to see it. Only with it can we prepare for our future.

Key points from the UAH report (prepared under contract for NASA), which show a world that has warmed since 1979, but only slightly (few alarmists know this; even fewer admit it):

  • The global composite temperature in November was +0.33°C (0.60°F) above the average for November during 1981-2010.
  • Global climate trend of temperature starting in 16 November 1978: +0.14°C (0.3°F) per decade.

Summary: Two decades of cool weather, followed by 18 years of warm weather. Wide swings in temperature; a relatively flat trend starting in 1998 – 2000.

Let’s look at the most recent hot story about climate change. It shows why the public knows so little about it, despite the intense coverage — and why so many are suspicious about what they’re told. Activists and journalists often prefer the simple politically useful narrative to the messy reality.

For an example of accurate reporting on this see the Financial Times (whose demanding audience doesn’t tolerate lies and cant): “This year on course to be warmest on record“, 3 December 2014. They give accurate and precise news, put in context.

The news (burying the lede, it’s at the end):”… The WMO said the average global land and sea surface temperature between January and October was about 0.57C higher than the average recorded between 1961 and 1990. It was also 0.09C above the average for the past 10 years.”

Context:  “Mr Stott said it was “remarkable” to see a record year of heat occur in the absence of an El Niño, a warming water pattern in the eastern Pacific that has boosted temperatures in the recent past. But he added it was still too early to know whether 2014 signalled an end to the so-called pause in the rate of global warming during the past decade.”

Political background (news seldom just happens): “The news came as thousands of delegates to this year’s UN climate negotiations in Lima arrived for the last big round of talks before a global climate-change deal is due to be sealed in Paris at the end of next year.”

Most of the major media follow the same format, but omit the FT’s scientific and political context (e.g., on CNN and The Guardian). They prefer instead to hype the warming.

Study: Bayer Herbicide Causes Autism, Even at Trace Levels

Bayer’s Liberty Link GMO crops made to withstand glufosinate ammonium (GLA) herbicide are linked directly to autism-like symptoms, according to a new study. Even in low doses, both pre and post-natal exposure to GLA caused symptoms in laboratory mice. Published in Frontiers of Behavioral Neuroscience, the study outlines how GLA, one of the most widely used herbicides in agriculture is harming neurological health.

Pointing to the findings of previous research linking herbicides and autism, as well as with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, the study explains that pesticide and herbicide exposure weakens the basic structure of the brain.

The developmental impact of GLA was examined by exposing female mice to low dose GLA during both pre- and postnatal periods and analyzed potential developmental and behavioural changes of the offspring during infancy and adulthood.

A host of neurobehavioral tests revealed some unsettling results: “. . .significant effects of GLA maternal exposure on early reflex development, pup communication, affiliative behaviours, and preference for social olfactory cues, but emotional reactivity and emotional memory remained unaltered. These behavioural alterations showed a striking resemblance to changes seen in animal models of Autistic Spectrum Disorders. At the brain level, GLA maternal exposure caused some increase in relative brain weight of the offspring. In addition, reduced expression of Pten and Peg3 – two genes implicated in autism-like deficits – was observed in the brain of GLA-exposed pups at postnatal day 15.

“Our work thus provides new data on the link between pre- and postnatal exposure to the herbicide GLA and the onset of autism-like symptoms later in life. It also raises fundamental concerns about the ability of current safety testing to assess risks of pesticide exposure during critical developmental periods.”

Could injecting newborns with toxic chemicals be behind SIDS?

(NaturalNews) Evidence continues to mount that points to vaccines as the "mystery" trigger behind SIDS, or sudden infant death syndrome. A recent study published in the journal Acta Neuropathologica, as well as extensive data on vaccination rates and the timing of SIDS cases, suggests that vaccines may be inhibiting the proper development of the hippocampus in some babies, resulting in the various breathing and cardiac failures that lead to SIDS.

Researchers from Boston (USA) Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School inadvertently discovered this after observing that nearly half of all infants in a group who died from SIDS had a unique abnormality in their hippocampus that was not present in infants who died from other known causes. Based on their observations, it is now believed that this abnormality upsets the brain's ability to regulate breathing and heart rate patterns during sleep, which is when SIDS typically occurs.

CDC issues flu vaccine apology: this year's vaccine doesn't work!

(NaturalNews) - Gary Franchi of NextNewsNetwork has revealed the shocking admission by the CDC that this year's flu vaccine doesn't work in a video he has made.

From the video, he says: “For the first time we can remember, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are going on the record, saying the flu vaccine won't work this year. The warning comes just before the busiest part of flu season, in January and February. Unfortunately, there won't be any refund for any of the patients or insurance companies who spent money on flu shots earlier this fall.

“But don't worry. Just when you thought perhaps the CDC could boost their credibility, they found a way to put a sales pitch on the end of their warning. The CDC says if you do come down with the flu, there's a cure. It's just going to cost more money. Money that will end up profiting pharmaceutical giants, GlaxoSmithKline and Roche. CDC officials are urging doctors to prescribe two specific antiviral medications for any patients who come in with flu symptoms.

“Just last week, the CDC issued a warning, prompting Americans to take the flu vaccine if they haven't already. Health officials said they had 160 million flu shots on the shelves and ready to go. But just earlier this week, Italy launched an official investigation after about a dozen people died within 48 hours of getting the flu shot. Their national health agency issued an immediate warning, saying DON'T take the vaccine. Here in America, the CDC isn't going that far. In fact, they found a way of turning this failed vaccine into a promotion for yet another big pharma drug.

US senators push for ISIL war authorization

US lawmakers have launched a campaign to test the limits of presidential war powers, introducing measures for a declaration of war against the ISIL terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria.

President Barack Obama declared a war against the ISIL group back in September with administration officials saying the US president had the power to take action unilaterally based on the Authorization for Use of Military Force passed by Congress in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks. Lawmakers in both parties, however, believe the Obama administration does not have the authority to wage a new war in the Middle East that has not been properly authorized by Congress.

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, a likely presidential contender, attempted to force a vote on a declaration of war Thursday. Paul offered his legislation as a last-minute amendment to an obscure clean water bill.

Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee raised objections and Sen. Paul eventually withdrew his proposal under the promise that he would get a separate debate on the issue. House Speaker John Boehner said Obama should submit an authorization in the new Congress.

Wind energy company sues to hide bird fatality data from the media

(NaturalNews) Green energy advocates would like for us to believe that wind turbines are a clean and safe way to generate electricity, but it's not entirely true. Wind farms are killing birds by the thousands, and the companies who own and operate them are trying to keep that fact a secret.

The Associated Press (AP) has been conducting an investigation regarding bird and eagle deaths caused by wind turbines. There have been many confirmed cases of eagles being killed by the turbines -- including bald eagles, our nation's symbol and an endangered species.

In 2013, the AP filed a request under the Freedom of Information Act to gain access to the Interior Department's statistics on bird and eagle deaths, but Pacificorp of Portland, Oregon, which operates more than a dozen wind farms in three states, has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to block the release of the figures.

The AP investigation has already documented scores of eagle deaths in six states -- with more than four dozen having occurred in Wyoming alone since 2009. The Obama Administration had agreed to provide the statistics to the AP, but Pacificorp is now seeking an injunction in Utah's US District Court to stop the government from doing so, claiming that the release of the numbers of bird deaths would cause the company "irreparable harm."

Emails show FBI worked to debunk conspiracy theories about reporter Michael Hastings’ death

Internal emails show the FBI worked to knock down rumours and conspiracy theories that circulated following the death last year of journalist Michael Hastings in a car crash.

The claims went mainstream after WikiLeaks tweeted the day after the June 18, 2013, crash that Hastings had contacted the group’s attorney, claiming the FBI was investigating him. The FBI was contacted by numerous journalists and others asking whether the agency had been investigating the investigative reporter prior to his death at age 33.

Dozens of internal emails obtained through a Freedom of Information request by VICE News and Ryan Shapiro, a doctoral candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, shows how the FBI took steps to dispute the suggestions that Hastings’ death was not an accident.

“We’re getting slammed with inquiries regarding what appear to be conspiracy theories surrounding Michael Hastings car crash,” Laura Eimiller, a spokeswoman with the FBI’s Los Angeles field office, wrote to her counterpart with the LA Police Department two days after the reporter’s death. “We’re trying to rule out, if possible, any suggestion that Hastings was targeted by someone with the crash based on his alleged involvement as a witness or target of an FBI investigation,” Eimiller continued. “I think we’re triple-checking but it doesn’t appear he was under any sort of investigation.”

The Los Angeles police spokesman, Andy Neiman, told her that investigators had not found any evidence to suggest “fowl play [sic]” in the single-car crash. The reporter’s brother later said his family was satisfied with the investigation into the crash and dismissed the claims of “Michael Hastings truthers.”

Eimiller sent out an “Urgent Media Issue” bulletin to special agents on June 20, 2013, with a link to a New York magazine article on conspiracy theories about Hastings’ death.

She told the agents that the reports had drawn the interest of then-FBI Director Robert Mueller and the Department of Justice, and she said top officials in the agency wanted the conspiracy theories to be debunked if they were inaccurate, VICE reported. FBI intelligence analysts were asked to search “all systems” to find out whether Hastings had been under investigation, and agents said they found no evidence of one.

The agency’s criminal division also said Hastings had not attracted their attention. The FBI eventually issued a statement that read: “At no time was journalist Michael Hastings ever under investigation by the FBI.”

That’s unusually strong language for FBI statements, which typically decline to “confirm nor deny” investigations. An earlier draft, written by the spokesman for the bureau’s headquarters, indicated that the FBI “at no time” had ever investigated “anything related to his work as a journalist,” but a Justice Department spokeswoman suggested the change.

The FBI did have one file on Hastings’ work, which the bureau’s Washington office opened on June 11, 2012, related to “unclassified media articles” published several days earlier by Rolling Stone on the disappearance of U.S. Army Sgt Bowe Bergdahl.

The three-page file was found in a “cross-reference” file on an international terrorist investigation related to the soldier’s disappearance, VICE reported. It’s not clear why the documents failed to turn up in the earlier search, but they were turned over about two months after Hastings died.

On January 1st, 2015 Facebook Will Drop a “Bombshell” That Will Straight-Up Infuriate You!!

Major news is about to be released from the infamous privacy stealing company known as Facebook. All users will be asked around January 1st, 2015, to accept the new terms. But just what are these mysterious “new terms” being bolstered by Facebook? How about the fact that they want to allow third parties like the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc. to collect information not only from your Facebook page but from your computer, your phone, and any other device you access Facebook from.

If by now you haven’t figured out that Facebook is in cahoots with the government, then I feel for you but for those who are well aware of the issues it’s high time you switched over to Seen.is a place similar to Facebook but with major differences! Here are some of the differences you’ll find at Seen.is:

No censorship!  Keep in mind we do have a Terms of Service that will need to be followed for things like pornography, copyright violations and defamation.  If we receive a complaint, we’ll investigate.  If you are accustomed to the freewheeling style at Before It’s News, we think you’ll enjoy Seen.is

NO ID required.  Facebook is now asking certain people for their ID’s.  That’s beyond the pale. You can use whatever name you’d like at Seen and no ID required.

No search crawlers.  We’re blocking those critters because once they crawl a page, whatever you posted is theirs forever.  We think you should be able to delete things if you make a mistake.  We know this will hurt the traffic, but we think you’ll appreciate this.

They don’t sell your data, in fact they don’t even collect it (other than your email so you can receive notifications).  It’s hosted in Iceland and selling data isn’t allowed there.  A very good reason to go visit Iceland.  A lot of very friendly people there, too.

No limit to your account’s friends.  If you’re popular enough to get over 5,000 friends, they think that’s great!
